more on abstinence

I was talking to my dad about this whole anti-kissing thing last night.
His exact words:
"You know that your mother and I expect you to have sex with and live with whoever it is you end up marrying for a while before you get married."
That is what they did, so I always thought that I was expected to as well. Regardless, my dad encouraging me to have premarital sex is a bit strange.

My family is so immoral.

In other news, Jon Stewart finally grew a spine during last night's interview on The Daily Show. It was amazing.

still, there are heteronormative aspects to what dad's saying. Think of how many people you've lived with? I'd imagine that you haven't slept with all of them.

(maybe this is pointless.)

And Stewart basically attacked (through comedy) the author of "The 100 People Destroying America" (which included Babra Streissand), largely for his saying that our culture has been ruined by bad language and naughty bits on TV. Stewart said that all the people destroying America were probably in D.C., not L.A.

It was very Crossfire-ian.

I think it's safe for dad to assume that I'm straight at this point. I've mentioned to him many of the people that I've dated. None of them were women. None of them were room/house mates.
